International Student feels satisfied with more Wi-Fi access in The Forge

Wi-Fi access had improved their service due to complain by students in Sheffield – The Forge which was one of the UNITE properties will have Wi-Fi access by September 2013.

Most of the students nowadays rely more on their smart phone and tablets rather than laptop. They don’t carry their laptop walk around the accommodation. Therefore, most of them feel satisfied with the upgraded and Wi-Fi access around the building.

Aaron says “It is very inconvenient for us to connect the Wi-Fi while we are not using the laptop. Connectify speed is slow, because the line has to share between the laptop and my phone. So I don’t really like to use connectify. I feel very satisfied with the Wi-Fi in here.”

Before this, Wi-Fi is only set up in the common room area. Most of the Smart phone user will be using the connectify through their laptop. Even they are using their laptop, the online speed will be very slow because

Now, the students in Sheffield can get online excess 24 hours in their bedroom and study area.

“I’m very glad that I can use my phone to access the Wi-Fi setting this year. UNITE sheffield really did a very good job in making us feel very comfortable in our accommodation over here.”

Besides, UNITE properties the forge also upgrade the Wi-Fi access to 16Mbps or 32Mbps which is perfect for online gaming or streaming movies. Students nowadays like to onlime watch movie and play online games during their free time.
